Let me tell you about my Friday morning.

Hello, here is a drawing that shows you my troubles with perspective and environment. Or a doodle anyway. I need to learn to manage my time better so that I can do more drawings.

Hello people. Here are some faces I drew of some characters I'm developing. They are bigger than they really need to be, but oh well. They're all pretty much looking off-screen because I drew them in chunks together and I will almost all the time draw characters looking at each other. So, you know. Try not to be too weirded out.

In life news, I am now working a job and doing a bit of school so I don't find a huge amount of extra time considering that I seem to be sleeping a lot.

Oh, hello there

Well I guess I will start updating again every so often. So here are some things I drew!

This did not actually happen today, but last week.

And also a church/garden museum which was kinda lame except that the garden part was in the graveyard.

In other news, school has started and I am taking lifedrawing again which I guess means I should take some photos of that to post here. So far we have only been doing gesture drawings. Also I have been job hunting and will be doing a sort of trial starting tomorrow which means I might have a job soon. I will have to start being more careful with my time.

Also I am leaving for England on Wednesday so now it's like I have an actual excuse for not updating!

And here is the painting I did today. I scanned it so the colors won't be 100% accurate, but this is more or less what it looks like.

I am going to drive you all away if I do too much of this copying from life nonsense, aren't I.

Things That Should Happen

I'm working on this at Tegaki, but here it is for you all to look at now because I don't expect the sketch to survive well. The sketch and end are always quite different beasts. You can find me at Sharkface.

It's a new month and we are now drawing cars at Monthies. I'm probably going to draw classics for a while.

Test Everything's deadline for May has been pushed back to the 15th, so you art people still have a chance to get in on this! Also June info will be up soon.

Now here is a drawing for you. I like the red hands, but they don't seem to work very well. They were brighter before and worked less, even.

More Bear Masks

Like anything that is good for me I am reluctant to draw every day. Good job, me!

Also I know the masks aren't supposed to be open all the time, but I'm interested in drawing them wrong.

Bear Mask Doodles

I spent most of my day working on an essay, so I only did a doodle today. Inuit opening mask.

Mosaic Man

The joint blog for themed months with my friends is up! Monthies! (Right now it's only my art, which you've seen here, but new things soon!)

Also, for all you art people out there, you might be interested in making something for the Test Everything zine. They need more people for the May issue, and the deadline is the 8th of this month right now! Be swift!

This is based off of this mask of Moctezuma, which is a mosaic on a real mummified human head! I saw it in the British Museum when I went to England. They have a lot of mummies.

Today I was looking at these masks and drew this:

It pretty much just looks like wobbly Eskimos.

Maskman

Hey internet, it's been a while again! I have something new for you! I'm going to be doing themed months with my friends Noel and Marina if we can get it to work well enough.

This month will be characters or whatever influenced by Native American art (all the Americas). So here is something I drew thinking about Inuit masks.

I've been having very sporadic updating because I have been ill for a whole month now and I feel slightly justified in being lazy and feeling sorry for myself. In other news, I drew The Flight of the Conchords for Gotiki as another Tegaki E request. Hooray!

I Don't Know Anything About Brian

Cavalry hill's character Brian, who there wasn't really reference for (since she wiped her gallery recently), just a doodle of his face she did for me.

I got two requests for cats, so I drew them together. Aida wanted a specific cat. Timothy just wanted a cute one.

I obviously need to do some serious practice, my hands and stuff always end up like silly noodles. I'm sure you've also noticed how many not full-body drawings I have been doing. It has not escaped my notice. Don't worry.

We went to the aquarium the other day.  There is this cool fish with split eyes called a four-eyed fish that can see above and below water at the same time.
